Getting started, how do I overcome....

| I've been interested in getting the MCSD for a while. And
with .NET thought it would be a good time to start. But I
have one problem, VS.net. I just started a new job, doing
some Linux work, and don't have access to VS.net, and I
don't have a home copy. I have a machine ready to go, with
XP Office, but no VS. Thoughts please.
Thanks,
Brian

Is the eval limited by number of days? Or just limited to
functionality required for study? If it's by number of
days, how would your reset it if you need more time?
Thanks,
Brian

| 60 days. And you'll need a DVD drive. I asked Microsoft for a VS.net eval
edition on CD. They'll only supply the eval edition on DVD-ROM.

| You uninstall it and then install it again and start the 60 days over.

That may or may not work. If an installation tag is hidden in the
registry, reinstalling may not work. One trick I've found that does work on
..Net Studio is moving the system clock back after the installation so the
software never sees the "execution date."
