Minimum Hardware for DotNet Server Side for MCSD exam

| I want to learn the DotNet architecture so that I can pass
the MCSD for C-Sharp. What is the minimum hardware/
software configuration that I can fully explore every aspect
of DotNet (and C_Sharp) architecture that will be covered
on the MCSD exam.
This can be answered in two phases:
(1) What is the minimum hardware/software that
supports every aspect of the DotNet architecture
on (a) the client side and (b) the server side?
(2) How much of this do I need for MCSD?

Very little. You can get hold a trial version of vs.net (I believe it
comes with some of the books). The msdn is online and free to all.
This covers all you need to pass the exam(s).
You do not need two machines, but it does help.

When Visual Studio says that it needs:
PC with a Pentium II-class processor, 450 MHz
Windows 2000 Server - 192 MB; Is this for server
based components, or is this merely the workstation
software installed on the server?
*** NOTE *** Visual Studio .net only needs
Windows 2000 Professional - 96 MB;
for the workstation (client) installation.
