The treatment of what should be your most valued resource
(those of us willing to give up time to sit your beta
exams) has been, at best, shabby.

Does anyone at Microsoft care enough to spend a couple of
minutes posting a reply to us poor tormented souls out
here still waiting...

I'm thoroughly sick of checking my transcript... :-)

People outside the USA may not know their result for two weeks or more. This
is nothing unusually regarding the release of beta exams; some people have
waited months for there results. If you have not heard in two weeks time,
contact the company you tested with and also Microsoft.

What are you talking about? Is this an official answer
from MS? I know that the wait for beta results normally
extends beyond reason, but why should "people outside the
USA" have to wait longer? Ever heard of e-mail and the
Internet?

Very frustated now...

That may be true for the actual paper-confirmation, but the transcript on
the MCP site should update at the same time for everybody, if you actually
have passed the exam.

Take it up with Microsoft.
I don't work directly for them, only with them.

There have been mistakes in the past. I have seen a few comments in
this (and others) ng, about transcripts not being updated, records
lost etc.

And why would Mr. Blair, working for a company in
Edinburgh, Scotland, then be one of the first people to
achive MCSD.NET certification? Last time I checked
Scotland wasn't part of the US...

I said in another thread in the news group that there were people in my
company who knew last week; they too work for a Microsoft gold partner. It
is not unreasonable, as we work 'with' Microsoft, to be used by Microsoft to
promote their products, tools, technologies etc.

Regarding receiving notification of passing or failing, the written piece of
paper will come through the post from the testing company you took the test
with. Your transcripts will be updated by Microsoft.

Debatable, as it is part of the UK which many see as the 51st state of
America!

So in other words, all the other MCP's or MCP wannabe's,
those who devote time and resources to become Microsoft
Certified and in some sick way promote the very being of
Microsoft (you know, the user, the guys who actually pay
Microsoft for their products) are not worthy of this
privilege that is bestowed on you Gold Partners.

Pretty simple minded statement, and not very customer
friendly, if you ask me.

Roger Waaijer(MCT, MCSD, MCDBA, MCSE).

PS. Guess as an MCT I don't count as one who, in your
words, 'works with Microsoft' or promotes Microsoft on a
daily basis in front of x number of students.

There was a question about 70-300 beta in the MCT's=20
private newsgroup last week, and one of the Training and=20
Certification guys from MS, posted a reply that the=20
results will be available today and there will be no delay=20
for this beta.=20
So I gues that we will have to wait a little longer.=20
It's 3:50 pm here, and I think that makes about 8 am in=20
the US, so maybe the guys haven't went to work yet
Anyway good luck to everybody, I heard that those who=20
passed are not so much

Not all 'Gold' partners are considered equal. Example being some get
to take part in product alpha testing (i.e. have ms consultants on
site, free training etc). But as there are so many 'Gold' partners you
could not expect ms to treat them all the same, could you?

CNN reports...in a stunning reversal, the venerable actor Sean Connery of
Entrapment fame, has relinquished his call for a free Scotland and has
called for all men in kilts to join the US (Vermont has decided to join
Canada after all).
