| Hi Professionals
Is MCSD exam(with listed courses) currently listed on
http://www.microsoft.com/traincert/...mentsdotnet.asp
for Microsoft.NET going to expire in 6 months( before or after ) ??
Will another exam( with different courses) take place shortly ??
As i think( or know) MCSD is for advanced developer and MCAD is for
younger developer ( MCSD Certification is more valuable than MCAD )
Is it true ??
Is Microsoft Visual C++ .NET is going to be overwritten by Microsoft
C# .NET ??
Is C# advanced than Visual C++ ??
Will I be able to build Strong, Powerful and better applications( web
and windows ) in C# than Visual C++ ??
Please guide me what tools i choose, what Certification i do
Thanks + Thanks + Thanks ...

| MCSD.NET is a brand new certification, and it's not going to expire in 6
months. Maybe in 6 years....
IMHO, MCSD is harder to get. You need 4 tests to earn an MCSD, for MCAD it's
just 3.
But MCSD are designed for Visual Studio 6.0, and MCAD for Visual Studio
..NET. There are diferences.
I hope that Visual C++.NET have it's own test. I like Visual C++
Visual C++ and C# are diferent things, read something about it on MSDN.
For you I recomend MCAD with C#. MCAD because is an new cert., C# because
VB.NET sux.

No.

Would expect so.

What is meant by 'younger developer'! No, I don't think there is any
age limits on this cert.
For the new mcsd.net exam, you need to pass two additional exams as
well as the exams you pass for mcad. So yes, mcsd is more 'valuable'
than mcad.
>Is Microsoft Visual C++ .NET is going to be overwritten by Microsoft

No. But you may or may not see any new [.net] VC++ exams.
>Is C# advanced than Visual C++ ??
No.

Depends on how well you know VC++. If you know your stuff, the answer
is no.
>Please guide me what tools i choose, what Certification i do
It's up to you.
