I received 90 day trial version of Visual Studio.Net 2003
with purchase of training book. Is there any way to
extend this period. I'm willing to pay, of course. Who
might I contact?

Reinstall Windows. Reinstall the trial. That would be my first shot.

As for question 2, Pro should get you most of what you need for the tests.
The few items that might require Enterprise features are unlikely to fail
you if you have a good knowledge of the subject.

hell.... i normally do a clean install every few months... sometimes its
just the necessity of changing the OS.... lol... have good couple of
driveimage disks now...
though i have open agreement so not too fussed but yeah install your OS and
the apps... ghost or drive image it... and you are done... just keep
restoring it from disk...
