Hi All,
I just wanted to know if help during the exam in the form of MSDN/ Book
allowed during exams of MSCD .NET
Actually i have seen from practise tests that quite a few of the question
are syntactical and during coding we don't really need to remember the
syntax for the functions and classes (thanx to the wonderful inbuilt
Intellisense).
So i was just wondering if it is allowed to use MSDN during exams...

waiting 4 an earliest reply
TIA

Nikhil

No you can't use MSDN.
No materials are allowed during the test.

As Glenn already said, no you can't use MSDN or any other reference during
MCP exams. However, I think this is a point where practice exams are often
unlike the real exams. I think there's very little coverage of syntax and
other trivia on the live exams. Older MS exams had more of that kind of
question, but it seems they are deliberately avoiding it for new exam
development.

So, for example, you won't have to remember the order of arguments to a
particular method or which synonym happens to be used in the framework (for
example, is the term in a method name Merge or Combine). Most live exam
questions require a higher level understanding of what is needed and as a
rule all answers use valid syntax & objects.

I think practice exams test on trivia more simply because it's much easier
to create that kind of question.
