Author 70-100 questions

I've just got one test left - 70-100 and for some reason - I guess because
it's so different and there's so many ways to make a mistake - I'm a little
leary of taking the test....

How many case studies are usually on the test?
How long are you given?
Are there more than just case studies on the test? I know the Transcender
has regular multiple choice questions along with the case studies.

As, and I quote, "This preparation guide was published April 11, 2002,

then this is the most reliable guide

Just from memory, I think I saw about 10 multiple choice questions that were
really easy, and then 3 or 4 case studies that contained anywhere from 7-12
questions.

Jason is correct.

Don't stress this exam - it is mostly reading comprehension. As long as
your database design skills are solid and you can read, you should be fine.
It IS long though - it is the only exam that I have needed a bathroom break
(probably a bit of an over-share!).

Here's a tip: each section is timed individually. When you finish a
section and have time remaining, use it to take a break if you need one.
The remaining time will not be added to the next section and the clock
starts over. Just make sure that you don't let the clock run out!

Just one thing I'd like to add to Don's post;

Be very careful when reading the questions in regards to WHAT they are
asking you to answer.

For example, a question might ask you to create a data flow diagram, but
only want you to diagram a certain part of the entire data flow. Watch out
for questions like that since it will count against you if you provide more
of an answer than the question asked for.

David,

If you can pass the Transcender on the first attempt, that you will have no
problems whatsoever with the exam, as long as you don't get over-nervous. I
did it in under an hour, and had no real problems. Make sure you read the
question carefully, as Jason says elsewhere in this thread.

Here's how I found the exam itself (watch for wrapping in the URL):

Only just - IIRC, I was done in about 55 minutes or so. I have always been a
speed reader though - a blessing AND a curse at times.
