Hello,
I am not sure about preparing MCSD Certification because of new Certication
Track "MCSD.NET"

When the MSCD Certification will expire ?

Kaan:

As far as I know the MCSD will not expire at all. You will just be certified
in so-called "old technologies" (VC++/VB).

I have decided to study for the old MCSD (Visual C++ track) because:

- I have a good backgroud in C/C++ and experience with MFC/COM
- I like C++ much better than Java/C#
- There are still much more job opportunities for C++/VB developers than for
..NET developers (Toronto, Canada)
- COM technologies (I mean ActiveX, OLE etc) have been with us for 10 years.
It is simply not feasible to rewrite all old software to .NET. You cannot be
an ignorant regarding "old technologies" !
- Eventually I will pass MCSD.NET anyway, so it's better to be both:
MCSD(VC++) and MCSD(C#), isn't it ?

So I am studying COM, ActiveX, OLE, ADO, OLE DB etc, and I enjoy it very
much. I am going to dive into .NET next year.

Good luck,
