When will VB 6 exams be retired

| Does anyone have any idea when the VB 6 exams will be retired, I shall be
starting studying for my MCSD in the next month or so and am wondering if it
would need to start studying .NET rather than Visual Basic.
Cheers

| I haven't seen any announcemets. But the .Net test are still in beta, or
haven't even gotten that far (70-300). I would suggest that if you have the
experience and knowledge and should be able to quickly move through the VB 6
track then do so. Also it depends, will your job be using VB 6 in the
future or only .Net (this is an assumption that you currenlty use vb6 at
work, and possibly are moving to .Net). If you are going to be using VB for
a while it couldn't hurt.
One more thing, if you do go for the VB 6 track now, you might want to take
70-229 Designing and Implementing Databases with Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
It counts for both the old and new tracks.

| I remember reading somewhere that Microsoft made an announcement at some
conference that they would be supporting VB 6 until 2008 at least. I imagine
a cert related to it would be valid for at least as long.
