| Hi all!
Just a short list and some thoughts of mine regarding how to
prepare for 70-100. I hope it will be of some help, even though
I don't think there's any new stuff here, just pieces I collected
myself before taking the test.
1. Have (or get) experience with software development, including
database modelling and data flow analysis (a)
2. Download the Transcender test demo, and do it until you get
100% (understanding why, of course) (b)
3. Have a good night's sleep, eat well and start the test in the morning
4. When doing the test:
- Read through the case study rather quickly, doing some scribbled
comments on paper (c)
- When answering the questions, be careful to understand exactly what
they want you to do/answer, don't overdo it
- If you have time left in a case study, do the things you want/need
before you end it (going to the bathroom, getting a cup of tea etc.)
Eh, that's about it I guess... Did it help
(a) This is of course the way you should get the skills measured by this test
(b) Excellent, made me aware of how Microsoft wants you to do the different
parts of the test, how the 'connectors' etc should be used, and made
me feel 'at home' when I saw the real test
(c) Even though english isn't my native language, I'm a pretty quick reader
and this worked for me. If you read slowly, perhaps it's better to peak
at the questions first, before reading all the case study texts
/Birger
(Oh, I did the Transcender yesterday evening, and took the test
this morning... Passed with a score of 777 with no further preparation )

| This is good advice if your native language IS English.
Congratulations, Birger!
