Author Can Count twice for MCSD and MCDBA ???

I used 70-229 as an Elective in MCSD.NET
(I am MCAD Now and took 71-300 Beta, I passed 70-305,70-306,70-310, 70-229
for MCSD.NET Path).

I am planning to Pursue MCDBA and wondering whether 70-229 can be counted
again for MCDBA Core examination since I already passed. But according to
Microsoft Certification rules an exam will be counted only once for any
certification path and
Again I could see above all exams are being counted for MCAD and MCSD since
MCAD is subset of MCSD.

I have referred many sources but could not get any clue whether I can re-use
70-229 as core
requirement in MCDBA (If that is the case I may take 70-306/70-305 as
elective exam in MCDBA also).

If you pass 70-229, you have:
a core credit toward MCDBA, plus
elective credit toward EACH of the following MCAD,MCSE,MCSD,MCSD.NET

The answer is yes, it counts toward ALL of them and therefore you have 1
credit toward 5 MS certs (plus the MCP)

I am glad to hear that. So with only 2 more examinations, I can become
MCDBA. (Already did: 70-229, 70-305 for MCSD.Net).

Thanks for the help.

Both of those tests you need for the MCDBA will also count for the MCSE.

I'ts how MS sucks you in so you're just one or two away from another and
another and another and another.
