Hi,

Im a intermediate visual c++ developer with a couple of
years of hobby-experience with visual c++ and mfc. Since I
don't see any exams for visual c++.net and the existing
one is a bit outdated (6.0) I was thinking of pursuing the
C# .net exam of MCSD. How is regular development with #C
performancewise? Will there be any new regular c++ exams
out soon (ms won't say)? What do you think I should pursue
with the future in mind?
Thanks in advance

Good C++ programmers/engineers will produce code which will out
perform code generated by C#. However in 90% of situations, this
should not be considered an issue.

There may be, but somehow I doubt it. If there are to be any I would
imagine they would be heavily geared towards dot net with only a
little mfc, atl & sdk.

So, Check back next Summer!

That depends on you. There will always be jobs for C++ people, many of
these jobs are outside of the Microsoft domain - Don't see too many VB
jobs on Solaris!

If you want to say with MS, learn C#, but don't give up on C++.
