70-320 Last time....
|

| Well, tomorrow's the day. Thanks for all of your help. If all goes
well, you won't hear from me anymore on 70-320. It will be on to
ASP.NET and Solution Architectures sometime in 2003.
Thanks again!

| Hey folks - I passed!
MCAD it is...
- 70-316, 70-320, and 70-229.
Now I'm off to Hawaii next week... and back to take 70-315 and get
prepped for 70-300.
Thanks again all!

| Congrats Chris!
Any tips on how much detail they ask? E.g. is it good
enough if I have a good basic understanding of the topics
as listed on Tim's page, or do you need to know specific
details such as "What's the parameters of the
RegisterWellKnownServiceType method?"?
Thanks!

| Ronan, where's that "Tim's page"?

| It was a lot more detailed than I thought it was going to be. I
generally go into these things knowing a little about everything. I
figure it this way - I can almost always narrow any question down to 2
answers. Most of the time those two are very closely related - and I
try to match one with something that I've seen or read.
Some of the topics are pretty deep on there. But as you know with
these tests you can sometimes get the answers later on in the test for
questions that you don't know right off. I run through the whole
thing quick once, marking all of the questions that I can't answer
immediately. Then I run back through them again, answering the ones
that I kind of knew, but was unsure of. Then the last go round I get
those questions that I might not have a clue on - then I do the
elimination process.
After reading most all of the MSDN stuff from Tim's page and working a
few samples, I felt "fairly" prepared. But on both the .NET tests
I've taken, my "fairly" prepared feeling has yielded a pass!

| I've read about all the links from Tim's page, I've also
done a few samples, and I also feel "fairly prepared".
But then I looked at the demo Flash test from Transcender,
and it scared me! :-)
Now I'm doing a 2nd pass, concentrating on some details
I've previously only had a "basic understanding" of, e.g.
typical elements/structure of XSD/WSDL/SOAP documents,
actually implementing Soap Extensions, etc. I'm writing
in about 2 weeks, so I hope I have enough time left to
prepare well.
Thanks Chris, I appreciate the tips.
