I agree with the others: dumps are no good. You do want to take at least
one of the legitimate prep tests. One of the biggest hurdles I had in MS
testing was being prepared for the test format and learning how to weed
through the crap in the scenario / question to determine what was even
relevant to what they were asking. MS pulls no punches on their testing,
you've got to be ready for lots of diversion tactics. If you don't
understand the material you're dead, if you don't understand the format,
you're crippled.

Just my thoughts,

If you don't have much experience of VB programming, you need to
acquire it. Run through as many code examples as you can find, build
your own miniature applications, experiment with code.

You can read a book until you know the theory behind the subject by
heart, but for most of VB, what helps the most is understanding *how*
things work. When you remember how something works because you've used
it everyday for the last three months, you'll be in a much better
position to answer the questions. Microsoft want to check that you
know *why* to use something as well as *how* to use something. It's
rarely as simple as memorising information...

As far as studying material goes, here's what I used :

1. New Riders 70-175 & 70-176 study guide by Howard Hawhee.
2. Exam Cram for 70-175 & 70-176.
3. MSDN articles. Understand what Microsoft *wants* you to know!
4. Transcender exams.

I got through both exams first time.
