I just bought the MS Press book and it seems OK. I also
bought the Transcender. The Transcender seems a little
weak compaired to their previous products.

I tend to think it's COM Interop also. Since when has MS not had any
overlap in their objectives.

Just my thoughts,

If it had said 'existing components' I would agree, but it says 'existing
code', which to me means source code. This is also the only objective that
is NOT listed for C#, and source code compatibility fits that pattern, but
COM interop involves C# just as well as VB.Net. I also recall one 306 exam
question that related to a language change from VB6 to VB.Net.

COM interop is probably much more important in terms of what the exam
actually emphasizes, so your reading of this objective is reasonable and
probably turns out to be more practical than my interpretation.
