Obtaining MS approved file
|

| Having recently upgraded from Windows 2K to XP I need a copy of a file called
"rtlnicxp.sys". I have tried the vendor (Realtek) and am pointed at other
sites, from which I have downloaded the file but XP won't accept it as
approved by Microsoft and hangs when I tell it to continue anyway.
Is there an approved version and if so, where can I obtain it?
Many thanks

I tried googling on this file and found lots of info. However if realtek
won't provide compatible drivers for their own network card (I'm assuming
that's what the problem is), I would suggest investing $20-$50 in something
a little more reliable.
Short of that, I would ask your question in a more appropriate group.
