| I was certified as an MCAD .NET using VB.Net in 2003. The 70-300 exam was
not available at the time of my certification efforts. I then took a
position in a firm that did not allow me to utilize these skillsets in a full
time capacity. I picked up C# along the way and have been involved in a
couple of C# projects developing Web Applications. I was recently downsized
from my firm and I thought I was ready to take a more active role in .Net
development. What I quickly found out was that every interview required a
technical assessment exam and even though I know the .NET concepts, my rote
syntax knowledge of the C#, ADO.Net and ASP.Net language is rusty. I think I
am going to recertify myself as a full MCSD in .Net using C#. Any
suggestions on a full kit step-by-step with examples (I have a fully licensed
Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 environment at home)? There are many books
out there but I want a study guide that is up to date and allows me to
exercise on the many language concepts as possible. I would also like the
best practice exams. I checked Microsoft's site and it suggested the
MCAD/MCSD Self-Paced Training Kit: Microsoft® .NET Core Requirements, Exams
70-305/70-315, 70-306/70-316, 70-310/70-320, and 70-300). The publication
date on these books is 2003 and I suspect that they are the same books, minus
the 70-300, that used to certify myself as a MCAD. Is this kit still
up-to-date for the exams and principles in .Net as it relates in 2005? Does
it have thorough examples in .Net Remoting, Enterprise Services, Web
Services, etc... Just thinking out loud. Thanks in advance.
