Problem with IE6 or WindowsXP or AOL...AAARRGGHH

| Not sure how to explain this. I've used XP for some time without problem. Also used Internet Explorer, no problem. Got a dsl router to connect my daughters computer to the internet - no problem. But suddenly IE no longer works on my computer - is fine
on hers. Also, and this is the strange part, I can't access certain web pages suddenly. Such as - I can go to ebay with no problem, but as soon as I try to make a bid, I can't access that page. Or I can go to the amazon website fine until I try to che
ckout, then no go. No problems on the daughters computer. I had a firewall installed, have anything to do with this? Also, on AOL there are some games I used to play, connected with other players, and now when I try to connect it suddenly tells me that
I'm not connected to the internet. I've never had trouble before. I really need help - if I haven't given enough information please let me know and I'll be happy to supply it - I'm not an expert at this! Thank you!!

Seriously, it sounds like your firewall is blocking port 443. This is the
port used to access secure pages. Refer to your firewall's documentation to
find out how to properly configure it.
