grrrrr, I am getting very angry with Windows XP home
edition. I think it should be burned and destroyed.
Every time you turn around you learn it cant do something
that every other OS can.

ummmm want IIS or ASP no way another $100.00 buckaroos to
William (steal you blind) Gates

Boycotting is a good option

You cheap XXXX, you bought Windows XP Home because it was cheaper but never
looked into why its cheaper, well its cheaper because it does not have all
the features.

While your point is true, it is a crippled version of W2K-pro that should
not have seen the light of day. There is a alternate point of view or
explanation...many brand named pc vendors sell their product with W2K home
version installed. Probably as a cost containment/cost cutting move, to keep
the advertised cost lower than competitors. Some don't even allow for an
upgrade to Pro. Since it is already installed and you don't get credit for
not using it, you are kind of stuck with it. You have to be careful of what
you buy, especially if you are in a learning mode. Buyer beware!

Personally, I am reluctant to purchase pre-configured desktops or servers. A
special-order or hand assembled "White-box" is my preferred platform.
However, that is based on my servicing it. For a standard customer
installation, sometimes its better to purchase a properly configured branded
box, if for nothing else than the warranty, on-site service/replacement and
periodic upgrade programs. But if you place any non-standard or home-grown
applications on it...you are still on you own.

It won't work. Microsoft has people all over the globe using their software.
100 people will not make a difference.

Not that big of a dent on the desktop market, though, especially not the home desktop market...
