Well. My first ever MS exam experience reached it's climax just 1 hour ago.
Weeks of hard studying and reading and practicing with Transcender, finally
came to an end. This was my first "test" (of any sort) for about 7 or 8
years.... and my nerves were my worst enemy.... I was so incredibly
stressed.

But deep down, I felt quitely confident.

However, when I got there, I was concerned to find the exam was a little
harder than I'd expected.. most of the Q's I knew the answer immediately, a
few I had to think long and hard about, and a couple I literally had no
idea, so took my "best guess" - based on what I *did* know ;o)

ADVICE to anyone with this exam coming up: Use Transcender. Use it a LOT.
Dont just memorise the answers but think carefully about the reasoning and
concepts behind those answers. Keep testing yourself as much as you can.
Read some good books. And if like me, you've never done an MS exam before,
I cannoy emphasise enough that you need to familiarise yourself with the
test environment - both in terms of content and style. Take those
Transcender tests until you are thoroughly BORED with them. Know the
concepts, not just the answers.

I hope that advice helps.

Oh? And the result of my test?

VB windows apps in .NET? Nope, my employers only produce Web Apps so I'm
saving that one till last. However I'd rather be doing windows apps than
web apps, so..... ?

I thought you would take MCAD.Net (70-305, 70-306 & 70-310).

Yes that's what I'm doing... but saving 70-306 till last, cos I wont really
be using it in practice.
