Author Any better Exam-Preps than Troy Tech???

Does anyone recommend any better or comparable exam
preparation study materials besides Troy Tech? Troy Tech
seems to do well with the example test questions, but does
anyone do better? Any help is appreciated!

These kind of "study guides" are for incompetent losers who are not
bright enough to study the material and learn it for themselves.

Besides that, they are illegal. Troytech was put out of business and re-
opened as TestKiller, which according to this article - has also been
shut down by the authorities.

For decent study guides: www.sybex.com www.cramsession.com
This should get you started.

TRANSCENDERS

TRANSCENDERS !!!

BUT...not just to study for a test. They are more valuable than just prep material.

Case in point. I've managed our LAN since being newbie (4 years ago). Started using Transcenders then because I wanted to pass a test...like everyone else.

After using them and studying them, I found that the examples clarified much of the holes left from incomplete MSPress and Sybex books.

I have used SEVERAL of the questions to modify the structure and integrity of our LAN.

Sure...you can memorize the prep test and probably pass. But if your objective is to become a Professional, you'll take the time to learn and understand the material. Transcenders allow you to print out the material as well.

Also, in my opinion, MSPress has a good series of books to learn from.

To our guest:

Yeah, it called a book! Hands-On is also highly recommended. But if it is any relief for those that read and practice with the products or do it for a living then I have some good news for you -- Troy Tech, aka TestKiller folks were raided by the San Antonio Police Department aided with the reps from Microsoft and so they are Out-of-Business!!

Hell, they even raided their home up near Stockdale and the police even took their refrigerator. I guess they are upset seeing they are being treated as "Drug Lords". So I guess all their Whine & Cheese will rot (LOL).

Seriously, they products are basically braindumps with the answers usually looked up for accurancy, but NO explainations or references to help you understand why the answer is the way it is for the Microsoft exam. Micro$oft claims they cost them over $3 Million dollars and I did not here what CompTIA claimed when they settled out of court months ago for stealing their intellectual property rights to the exams, etc...

Try these books for Microsoft exam preps -- Syngress/Osborne/McGraw-Hill, New Riders, Microsoft Press, Coriolis Exam Prep or Exam Crams or maybe Sybex. As for testing software, try Transcender, SelfTest Software, or MeasureUP Software, etc...

Why don't you get real for just one second? All of those practice test providers are brain dumps. You constantly read testimonials about 'how similiar' the practice tests are to the real exams. The closer they are to the actual exam the better they are - this point simply cannot be argued. Where do you think the guys running these various outfits get their material? They get them from the betas. I ask you this - just how is it possible that if these people - and I mean all these practice test providers - have never set eyes on any of the questions, then how is it that they are so similiar? Practice test providers would reduce the value of your certification even if their questions were not particularly similiar but this is besides the point. You buy their tests because it is nice quick and convenient way to nail up some two-bit certification on your wall. You've just paid money for what? Things could be different. The skillsets measured - nothing wrong with those, but you're treated as a bunch of 2nd class citizens when it comes to doing something really substantial about braindumps and the like. Look how jealously Microsoft guard their source code - how they put everything under wraps when it comes to their own self absorbed interests. They appear not to be doing the same for you. Sure they shut down a couple of lousy sites here and there but that is not nipping the problem in the bud - that is simply reacting to something that is due to their own lack of not providing suitable safeguards against cheats. Where do you want to go today? Nowhere - not until these half measures of introducing adaptive formats and simple pass and fails are cast away for real solutions.

Cool!! Another site for Microsoft to shut down.

Aside: I just got some free web space (30 mb) which runs .NET (and ASP 3.0)
at http://www.brinkster.com Haven't checked it out yet but their servers
seem pretty quick and sign-up was a breeze. Looks to be superior free web
hosting compared with all the others I've tried and given up on.

I have ran through the CBT nuggets @ www.cbtnuggets.com and I have found that they are excellent at explaining key concepts that are difficult to grasp.
