good cert for entry-level help desk job?

| What would be a good certification to get to obtain an entry-level PC help
desk job at a company? I already have A+ certification, but that doesn't
seem to be enough in this economy. I was thinking of taking the Windows XP
test to get MCP status. Can anyone recommend some good books?

| MS Press or Sybex are always good choices. Depending on your background you
might want to look at the Network+ for a background in network concepts
before starting the MS exams but again that is up to you.
