Instead of asking what is the best book and where can I get ilegal answers,
I thought I'd ask a different question. When you folks have already got
your MCSE's were studying, typically what time frame did you take from study
to take test ? Hours, Weeks or Months ?

Thanks, just curious. I have been taking way too long and thought I'd get
several replies so I could set myself a norm and push just a little harder
than I ahve been.

Again thanks for all the advice and info that I have been able to get from
you guys.

Here's my usual schedule:

1. Look at exam objectives, decide how much time I need to learn the
material.
2. Schedule Exam
3. Study
4. Test

For all of my MCSE tests, this ranged from 4 weeks to 8 weeks, depending on
how much of the material I was already comfortable with. I recently went
back for the 70-218 (to complete the MCSA) and only gave myself about 2
weeks. If you want to keep yourself from procrastinating, it's important to
schedule the exam to give yourself a deadline. If you get to the week of
the test and you're really not ready, you can cancel or reschedule. Just be
sure to read your testing center's policy on rescheduling or canceling.
Most require at least 24 hours notice.

there is no norm for how long it takes to get certified. A lot of it depends
on your experience in IT and the amount of time it takes to read the theory
in the books. I have heard of people not cheating by using braindumps
passing the exams in weeks but they have years of experience.
