Do I have to attend classes or sign up for online courses
to test for the MOUS certification? I have a lot of
experience in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Access. I am
a full time student in college working on a degree in
Computer Application. I would love to teach MSOffice. I
need to know how to go about doing this. Thank you for
your help.

You don't always need to attend courses to get certified, some times you can
pick up a book on the topic you want to study and do the work at home then
when you are ready you schedule the exam. The home approach is not for
everyone as it really depends on your knowledge, and discipline in doing the
reading and examples, as well as having the software at home.

The MOUS certification is not difficult. If you're
familiar with the products and you pick up or borrow from
the library a book on the test - just to give you an idea
of what's covered - and practice it a bit, you should do
fine. Remember that the tests are on a real computer with
the full install of the Office program, so if you get
truly stumped, just use the help (though obviously you
can't use it too much or you'll run out of time).

Jenny,

What version of Office are you interested i? I got it in office 2k. It's
ridicously easy. Get the Exam Prep books (they are hard to find now, but
Amazon, Ebay, etc. you can usually find them used), walk through the
exercises (they come with a CD with files), go to MeasureUp.com and sign
up for the practice tests. Once you can take them scoring consistently
in the 90% range, you are ready to go. Email me if you have more
questions.
