Help desk job in the near future?

| Does anyone have any idea what the prospects are for computer help desk jobs
in the future (by the future, I mean when/if the economy picks up)? I have a
technical college degree and 4 years of programming experience and I'm going
to get A+ certification here soon, and I want to (hopefully) get a help desk
job when things pick up, but I hear the field is saturated. Any thoughts?
