I have been in the Computer feild for 13 years.
I have worked on 286 combos to 2.4 gig workstations as
well as assembling servers and operateting systems and
maintaining the network.
Iam basicly a hardware guy and opperating system installer.
I also support my companys Internet,as they offer internet
access to the general public.Email and dialup
configurations access and now wireless.
Point is now , Iam out of my league to keep hackers out of
our network and spam mailers out of our systems and have
no one with known knlowedge to go to for guideance in
getting more training.Iam a slow learner but once I do I
don't forget! Can someone guide me??? Also I get no support
from my employer as of yet.Other than do what you can.

Get on the internet and start doing your research. For starters, have your
cheap XXX boss send you to school, while that is going on...you can get one
of the shrink wrapped solutions from a name provider, TrendMicro makes a
great antivirus for email. Until you develop some skill, I strongly suggest
you stick to a suite from one vendor, again something from Trend Micro is a
decent, easily installed and configured solution.
