I'd like to get some advice from those that have taken
either of these courses to see which one really gives you
more bang for the buck.

Go with the CCNA as it covers everything on the Network+ and more and is a
more recognized certification. If you are planning on doing any Novell
certifications you should also pick up the Network+ as it is a prerequisite
to some of there certifications.

If you are already A+ certified then getting the Network+ will help in
reducing the requirements for the MCSA.

Unless you have too much money on hand I would say skip the Network+ and
concentrate on the CCNA.

Keep in mind that while both Network+ and CCNA are great entry level
certifications and will teach you some very valuable basics of networking,
neither will allow you to go out and get a job just based on being
certified.

CCNA offcourse, no doubt about it. Its MUCH harder and you can probably get
a job after certifying as it.
Network+ is just a cheap test that wont do you no good!
Keep that in mind

Gunnar,
You are not likely to land a job with just the CCNA, its too basic on its
own to get you a job.
