I'm going to start seriously studying for the certification tests, and would
like to get some advice. What are some of the best study materials and
where do I find them? I don't have any other certifications at this point.
Do you think that it would be wise to first take other certifications? If
so, which ones would you recommend?

Thanks
Robert

You didn't mention your background which is important in answering your
questions.
Lots of experience, none, some, etc.
I used the MS training kits and Examcrams for reading material for the MCSE
but I suspect your question is deeper.
Thanks,
Glenn

My work experience is minimal when it comes to dealing with system problems
and programming. I am very analytically minded and work daily with computer
and minor networking problems. I would like to start training at a basic
level, so that I can learn as much as possible. Any help or suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Robert

I suggest starting on the MS 70-210 and move to the MCSE.
Sybex and Examcram seem to be the popular books along with the MS training
kits.
I am sure you will get great advice on the MCSE news group for other ideas.
A little more on goals etc. will help in giving good advice.
