| Hello:
I have a 3 year old Associates degree in computer
programming/analysis. I had a software technician job at
a large company doing support work for engineers (not much
programming) for a year and a half til the company
downsized. I have a decent well put together resume and
usually personalize my cover letters, and deliver them in
person in a suit but I'm not getting any interviews, for
jobs I'm more than qualified for. I'm thinking about
pursuing my bachelors degree in programming, but before I
dig in to that I'd to add Microsoft certification to my
resume.
So, question #1-Which type of certification would be
helpful in preparing me for something like a help desk
technician position for users ranging from everyday email
checkers to more advanced users such as software engineers?
Question #2-Can I receive this training and get certified
online from my home computer?
Question #3-How much does this cost and who do I contact?
Thanx for the input folks,

<< I would suggest that initially you should aim for the MCSA (Microsoft
Certified System Administrator) certification>>
Question #2-Can I receive this training and get certified
online from my home computer?
<<Yes but to practice the networking side you definately need two
computers>>
Question #3-How much does this cost and who do I contact?
<<For the MCSA you need to sit 4 exams. You should also obtain official
study guides for each exam and sit some Practice questions to assess your
exam readiness.>>
Full details on MCSA requirements can be found at
