| Hello everyone,
Right now I'm on unemployment and I have over $3K in my bank. Since I have
the free time, should I take the risk in going to a good training center and
getting certified? I saw MCSEclasses.com and saw that their boot camp was
$7K for 13 days. Has anyone had any good feedback from this place, any
negative, gotten their certs from there, etc? Any thoughts on this company
would be helpful.

That is a rip- off. The MCSE school I went too was 6k for 4 months, 7 hours
a day. Get books with free evals and teach yourself. Use these NG to ask
questions the way you would a live teacher.

that unemployment insurance only provides temporary benefits. You don't have
free time... the clock is ticking. Your "time" is running out! You should be
busier than hell trying to find a job.

use unemployment benefits like a summer vacation, and then blame the
president for your unemployment later. Don't use your time wisely. People

Actually unemployment benefits are funded by unemployment insurance payments
made by employers. Considering employers consider that required insurance
payment when negotiating wages, the employee is basically paying for that
insurance c/o the employer while employed. Thus, by being laid off, they are
just collecting on insurance they paid for. Welfare however is a program
that taxpayers pay for.

find something. I also have to agree /w billyw in that "define free time",
but then again I should have said "some free time", between the countless

people in NG have told me to do it the self-study route, yet I'm trying to
find the tricks and helpful routes to get myself in gear.

my perspective it seemed to go well. How long should I wait to send a
courstesy e-mail to check back in with the employer, or should I even bother
at all. Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with checking back
in to see if the position is "still open". I'm just wondering about a time
frame, maybe like 2 weeks?
Why do you guys think?

after all it also makes you look keen
also i'd suggest u drop 270 and do 210, go the 2k track then upgrade if u
want, as MS haven't got any other 2003 stuff out yet.
for the exams.. that would depend on your previous experience.
