Pertaining Microsoft Office Specialist:

(a) Is it compulsory to pass Excel Core, then only can we
proceed to sit for Excel Expert?

(b) Can we just sit for exam (Core or Expert) without
going for prior classes? Say if I'm studying 100% by
myself.

Thanks in advance.

You can take any test you want in any order. They do not ask you about what
classes you took. If you're going for the Master, the Core tests in Word
and Excel don't help you anyway, so no sense to pay for them if you don't
have to. However, the Core tests are MUCH easier than the Expert tests, so
you may consider one or both of them as practice for the Expert tests if you
want. Good luck.
