ok, you want me to lecture you...SIT UP STRAIGHT! EAT YOUR VEGETABLES!
and as for the question in the subject line. I took one but didn't feel
that I got much more than just self studying. If you want the experiences
of a trainer as well as the books, go sit a class.

| I am currently attending classes (hence why I haven't been so active here)
and I am not only learning the material, but I am also getting real world
experience AND having fun doing so!
But at the end of the day, I come home and re-study everything we learned,
apply that to my test machine and skim through what's happening for the next
day.

I believe this is one of the benfits of having a trainer (says the MCT)

| The guy teaching us is an MCT, MCSE, MCDBA, MCSA, MCDST, CCNA, CCIE, RHCP!
On top of all that, he just completed his Doctrate in Computer Sience
Mastering in Security.
This guy is a freak for education!
What's worse is that he's only 25!

He's got a PHD or something.. doesn't that make him a doc?

does he have experince in the field?
so long as he's a good trainer. I know a ton of well certified and
experienced people. On paper, could be great trainers. <yawn>
A trainer should also be able to bring real world experiences, and be
entertaining. If I have a bunch of people in front of me for a week, I
better be able to keep them from dozinf off too. I once heard that along
with all the experince from teh field and the certifications its good to
be part standup comic/baptist minister.
however, if your happy with him, that's all that counts. You're paying
for him...
