As long as you use the same MCP id for both exams, you'll be fine. Contact
prometric and vue each and make sure your account with them is correctly
registered.
After passing your first MCP exam, you should have gotten an email inviting
you to register on the MCP website at www.microsoft.com/mcp
Inside, when you associate your passport account, you'll need the exam
number of either exam you had passed.

I never had to do this Sartan. I wrote Prometric for about ages and then
wrote a couple of Vue tests. exams I have passed at either Portmetric or
Vue just show up on my transcript. The MCP ID number part I aggree with.

Hmm.. maybe I had to do that because they screwed up on some of my personal
information.

you can take exams at either location or both... however, one thing you need
to keep in mind is that neither will be aware of the other so you may end up
with 2 MCP #'s and neither of them linked. To fix this, should the need
arrise, just send a quick email to mcphelp@microsoft.com with both numbers
and they will merge the two files and you will be left with one MCP number
with all exams listed under both. One way to check this is to log into the
secure mcp site and if all your exams are listed, then there is no problem

I usually phone the booking in and inform the rep of my MCP ID at that
time. This will save you having the duplicate IDs as you have informed
the tester of your Real MCP ID.

my $0.02

I could book mine at my local college but only while I was attending in
town... after I changed cities, I called them directly. But you can also
book online.

I agree with Sartan, Sorry. If you normally use prometric or vue, then
make sure you add your MCP id when you register for your first exam at
the other. They will prompt you when you sign up for the exam for your
MCP id. I didn't have it on hand, so left it blank (ummm, duh...)

I then had 2 MCP id's, had to have them merged. So just make sure you
add your ID # to the exams you take, if it asks. If not, Microsoft can
usually merge them and fix in 1-2 days. no big deal. Just a bit of a hassle.

don't be sorry. Sartan definitely has the MCP ID part down. as for the exam
number, if you have to call MS to merge them than I guess you might need
this number, but I can't see why the other test co. would need it...peraps
confusion on my end (was the weekend and all)

<you try to confuse!>
