I think you should do the NT4 track, then 2000, then 2003.

You can't take the NT4 tests anymore, so just buy some
used books to get familiar.

As odd as that sounds it is a good idea. Someone bought me
an MCSE kit a while back when i started; and it turned out to
be for NT, which was no longer offered. I read them anyway
and they have helped. Not only will you encounter NT machines
from time to time but many of the test have NT influenced
questions on them, that is, the assume you know something
about NT.
