| Does anyone know if a good online school that accepts cert
exams as credit hours. I know they are out there, but
don't know the name(s). Thanks in advance.

| You know, this type of master program is not in the traditional sense.
Just wondering, aren't there any research paper for this master program and
what future employer would think of such Master program during the
interview?

You are right. I just started the Information Systems Security specialisation.
It gives a fully fledged university degree and recognises industry
certification for half credit. Instead of me doing 4 years at University
for a Bachelor degree, I get a masters in about one year, having
recognised my experience (you need about 2-4 years in a senior role
to be a chance at a place in the course) plus I get credits for MCSE exams.
Just wondering, aren't there any research paper for this master program and

I know that in Australia the degree is most sought after. It will be
launched globally probably for next years intake. Given the
prerequisite experience to get into the course, I imagine candidates
will be highly sought after, since you would know that you can't fake this
qualification.

| I live in Malaysia, so I guess this program is out of reach to me for the
moment. But still, you still haven't answer me this question.
As much as I know, most traditional degree and master program would need to
complete a research paper in order to complete the program. So does this new
program involve any research paper at all?
I have a degree in Computer Science with nearly 3 years of work experience.
I have 1 paper left to complete the MCSE 2000 track. So by cutting the cost
and time by half, this is quite tempting with the exception that I am
uncertain of what Malaysian (or my future employer) will think of such
untraditional program.

As far as I know, New Zealand and the US are likely
candidates for IT Masters next year. Asia / Pacific
countries shortly after, before the rest of the world.
Charles Sturt University is probably the premier
university for distance education in Australia / Pacific region.
As much as I know, most traditional degree and master program would need to
complete a research paper in order to complete the program. So does this new

You are thinking of a Doctarate for a Ph.D. The masters may require
roughly 2x 2000 word assignments and an 8000 word essay for
each subject, if these documents are required at all.
I have a degree in Computer Science with nearly 3 years of work experience.

and time by half, this is quite tempting with the exception that I am

Keep in mind that you will have to substantiate experience at a senior level,
or have already completed a Bachelor degree and have say 2 years experience.
