Hello, I just wanted to ask if the MCSE tests require a
candidate to show proof of prior on the job work
experience using the operating systems being tested for
(such as indows Server 2003, Windows server 2000, and
Windows XP Professional), or if it is enough to study for
the tests and pass them successfully?

Also, I wanted to know if there are any other
requirements for the tests that I do not know about, such
as do I need to take
course(s) at a university or college to take the tests or
if I may be able to study for the tests from home?

any information that you can provide would be most helpful

Thank you,

Sincerely,

Thomas

No you do not need to show any experience and/or any college/university
qualification to sit for this MCSE exam. Stated in Microsoft website, the
job experience is only a recommendation but not requirement.

Just head to www.2test.com or www.vue.com to schedule an exam and you will
find that you can schedule any MCSE exam without them even asking your
qualification/job experience.

Upon passing MCP, MCSA or MCSE, Microsoft will still not ask you about your
background.

Those are all great ideas that you mention.

But, lucky for you, (unlucky for us!) nothing is required other than your
sweaty hard earned dollars in order for you to sign up and take any of the
Microsoft exams.

So start sutdying and start passing.....

Nope. Microsoft will gladly take money from even the most unqualified
candidate. Don't expect employers to be as liberal in their hiring practices
though.

No, but if you apply for a job a lot of companies will ask you what your
experience is. I wouldn't hire you with a certificate alone.

Don't let them fool you either. Regardless of your qualifications a great many of them will backstab, trick, or find a way to try and srew you over to their benefit so they can hire one of their friends whom is probably equally inexperienced and then trai
n them.
