Hello john63401 (if that is indeed your real name)

Some of the *experts* here may have been a little quick to
crucify you when you asked your laptop question. You
specifically mentioned RIS and laptops: There are specific
examples in the MS Press and Thompson Learning books (at
least) where it won't work. Read the knowledge base

I tend to agree with the majority here though that laptops
are not as good as a virtual desktop lab.

Thanks Marko....

I haven't started studying ANY material yet at all. Instead I wanted to
buy the hardware for the test lab first.... then go for the books etc.

Hence the dumb questions abt the IT stuff.

Sorry all

However.... I have decided to stick with desk tops and a KVM switch per
Garys suggestion
