Do the Beta exams count towards the MCSE2003?

| I am already certed in MCSE/mCSA 2000 but saw that i could
take this exam for free, and thought Id take a shot. If i
pass the exam does it count towards anything?

| Yes. The beta 071-XXX exam counts as released 070-XXX exam.
