2000 or 2003, which should I take?

| I have read that if I get my MCSE in 2003 that I will also be a MCSE in
2000, is this true (if that makes sense)?
I'm just wondering what study materials to get and which exams to take.
Will the electives change with the 2003 version, or is it just the core?
