this may seem like a simple question that someone has to
know the answer too...
1) how much are the beta exams??? i thought they were free?

2) is it possible at the moment for an australian to go
for a beta exam... last time i tried it wouldnt allow
australians to participate in the beta process

Beta exams ARE free. They are sent out by invitation only though. You need to have signed up for MS's newsletter (MCP NewsFlash) as well as be currently certified.

I've never heard of Microsoft not allowing candidates from certain countries. I know they are sending out invitations to candidates outside of the US though.
