You'll have to decide what you want to get certified in. MCP is for
anyone who has passed almost any Microsoft test. Find a topic you
like, find some materials for it, study, and take the test.
For some ideas and a few books for the different tests, take a look

One good one to consider for starting out is a client OS like Windows
