Hi,

you only need 3 more exams. 210,215,216 are core exams
for MCSE. 218 counts as an elective exam. So, you only
need the 217, which is a core exam - take it next, one of
the 3 design exams (219-221) and another elactive. There
you can choose from many different exams
(http://www.microsoft.com/traincert/...e/requirements.
asp).
I'm sitting the 216 on Friday.
Good luck

True but If he choses Exchange as an elective he then has MCSE. But if he
goes on to a do both 228 and 229 he gets MCDBA and a nice (on a CV) looking
set of exams passed.

Ah, the dreaded 216 test... the best book for that test, btw, is the TCP/IP book in the W2K server resource kit. Know that book and you will ace that test.

When you get those, get your DBA, then move on to the Unix
world and get your Redhat and SCSA (Solaris) certs, IBM
and HP couldn't hurt either.

Another thing fellas. I would definately suggest getting
some Cisco, Security, Firewall, and Database in those
backgrounds as well.

There are a lot of good Windows Admins and Engineers out
there, but there aren't enough that know much about the
Database, E-mail, Unix, or Security side.

Just some food for thought.

Hi

Passed "the beast" today. It was not as difficult as I
thought. A lot of WINS, DHCP, Relay-Agent, DNS, RRAS.

It's over and gone.
