How to connect Compq iPaq to Exchange 2000?

| I am running a VPN link between our network and a Compaq iPaq via a dial-up
link.
The iPaq requires POP3 and SMTP server. How can I connect it to the Exchange
2000?

| you may be right diamond....this might be a better solution:
purchase a Cisco 2600 router. configure it to have eth0 on the same subnet
as the exchange server. get a second eth int card for the routher and
configure eth1 to be on the same subnet as your palm (or whatever it is
youre talking about) dial into the cisco router (did i tell you to setup a
dial up VPN on the VLAN for the router...if not, do so now) set up a static
NAT mapping for ports 25 and 110 to go from eth1 over to eth0. this should
allow you to connect via pop and smtp. hope this helps.

| Are you just dialing up directly to your network? If so, you do not need
the VPN. If you are connecting over the internet, then configure the VPN,
and connect to your network, which it sounds like you have done. Then by
default you should have pop3 and SMTP support on your mail machine. That is
if you had SMTP on the server when you installed. You will have to setup
the client to authenticate to the Exch 2000 machine.
