My condolences.
Can you provide a good link that explains what disc golf involves and
how it's played. I think I have an idea of how, but I could be way off!

I've been playing disc golf since 1976, the same year it was pretty much
invented. Twenty-six years now. I joined the PDGA in 1980, and got a
rather low number, 1577. When I got married, I got memberships for my wife
and step-son in the 12,000 range. When my twin boys were born, I gave them
numbers 15771 and 15772. The numbers are now over 21,000. Not a huge
number for a relatively unknown sport, but we're growing.
There are even a few celebrities playing disc golf, like Larry Hagman and
some guy who stars in "friends" but his name eludes me... or maybe it was
90210 (don't watch either show). Soupy Sales also plays, if you know who he
is. Then there was the Seinfeld episode where they play "frisbee golf" -
that gave us a little publicity.

Fris,
I know that we all morn for the loss of a great man. I did want to send my
condolences.
Why don't you go to a park and throw a Frisbee, I am sure Ed would have
wanted it that way.

Ah, I wish I could. Been so busy working lately, haven't played disc golf
but once this year, and probably only three or four times this century. I
used to play every day.
