Global Catalogue server placement

| Dear All,
I would like the groups opinion on GC server placements at satellite
offices.
Basically:
3 NT4 domains - 3 main sites,, each with 2 or 3 satellite offices connected
to them by 128K ISDN Each satellite office has an NT4 BDC which is WINS and
DHCP too.
Going to Win2K - will have one domain and lots of sites, I will have have 2
GC servers at each of the main sites, but want to know if it is worth having
one at each satellite location, which in some cases only has 4 people. If
there is a GC server at aech satellite office, then logons and queries will
be quicker, but replication will be high.
Any thoughts as to how many users at a site warrant a GC server.
Cheers
OJ

| why not one at each site - replication is minimal unless there are changes
to users & so on, no?
Do you have a repidly changing network structure?
