Can anyone recommend, or put me on the right track for Laptop synch/backup
software. Something along the lines of Veritas NetBackup - is it any good?

Our network environment is NT4 server, and Win9x/NT/2000 clients.
Ideally i would like the remote machines to backup automatically when they
log in, is this possible?? Or is it done through schedules and forcing from
client and server?

Any comments appreciated.

Not sure what you mean by synching. Both Veritas and Arcserve have
reasonable backup software that will run on NT4. They have agents
that can be setup on your workstations allowing scheduled backups
to go across the wire so long as they not powered off or
disconnected when the schedules are set to run. Both will do the
scheduling at the server. It must just be able to find the workstation
and have the correct credentials to read their data.

Cheers

Think he means off-line files type of thing. And so he can use... errr....
Offline files...
Or am I being dim?
