Correct, the CEO is the same guy. Looks like we'll be in for another
reincarnation of "braindumps you pay for".
Maybe they'll hold a contest to come up with another name for the
company!

| I checked out their website and that appears to be the case. It also says:
TestKiller.com will be offline through June 30th. Please check back then.

| Since they seized the assets, I wonder if the people who bought the
braindumps will be investigated by Microsoft.
Seems logical.

| I guess it would depend on what records they kept... names, addresses?? MS
would need traceable data to find these people. It also depends on how far
MS goes... they may just stop them and let it be. The questions could
change on the exams and the current cheaters would be out of their money and
having to re-write the certs. As questions change, and these sites
disappear, the old dumps/cheatsheets will become worthless.

Boy, that would be rich, wouldn't it! I personally know of at least two
network admins who would have their certs stripped if this happened.

from this company?
I'm not asking whether they SHOULD but whether they likely WILL go after
buyers of Testkiller study guides, or other similar guides.

| Of course not. MS wants as many MCPs as it can get. Shutting down troytec
is window dressing.

| Actually, I'm thinking that would take a HELLUVA lotta work and MS has shown
a distinct adversity to things of that nature when it comes to dumping.
Work = track down records, investigate anon e-mail addresses (hotmail,
yahoo, excite, etc), match results with MCP #'s, <whew>... I got tired just
thinking about it...

Maybe true about MS being adverse to extra work, but one thing is for
sure: you can't purchase study guides with just a hotmail account. A
valid credit card is necessary and those are much easier to track!

| They sent me a free one (of my choice) after I dropped them an email of a
pirate site giving away their illegal wares
I chose the -217 one, since I'd already taken the test (MS - check the
dates, I was checking them out, not using them to cheat ) and it was 100%
braindump with a pretty cover sheet.

They accepted money orders. Also, you can use your friend's or
relative's credit cards to purchase such items. But I'm sure a lot of
people did use their own credit cards as they did really think they
were doing anything wrong.
| |
|
| Did this site say that they were actual exam questions? If they said that
they had practice tests, then I cant see Microsoft being able to do
anything. It would be like getting the transcender ones, or ones off of
cramsession.com. How is the consumer supposed to know that they were actual
questions unless the site said so.
