I am upset, I failed exam 70-215 today, the server exam, I thought I was
more than prepared, I studied and took the transcender test numerous times,
but still failed!!
Anyone got anymore study ideas as far as practice tests, etc... goes.
Thanks,
Abe

That is not a hard exam. Just wait to you take 216. I
failed that one 2 times. I only took 55 minutes to pass
215. You need to set up a practice network and really
get to understand every part of Windows 2000 server. If I
can recall, the only questions that are hard on the 215
test are the RIS quesions.

I disagree with this, Ed. I studied hard for the Server exam, I was also
working with the product, and I wrote this test and failed miserably. I
seriously think that I was just unlucky on the day received all of the
hardest questions!

There were loads on subnetting and ip addressing, which was only touched on
in the MSPress books, and loads on migrating complicated NT4 networks to
2000. Also, most of these questions were of the "Choose all that apply" type
which just make it worse. From what I've read about that exam in this
newsgroup, it shouldn't have been that difficult.

And by the way, I'm just saying that to make myself feel better!

So my advice to Abe is to just get back to the books and refresh your memory
and practice the bits that you thought you flunked on, and then write it
again as soon as possible.

Regards,

Stuart.

I agree with Consultant.
I used MS Press, Sybex, the internet , and daily use of the product.
Learning to read the questions is one of the most helpful parts. There are
plenty of wordy questions on the net and in books. Learn to cut through the
crap and just read the meaningful points.
Another trick is when you answer practice questions, don't just give the
right answer, but be able to explain why all other choices are incorrect.
If you are not up on subnetting, search for "anding" on the net, the MS
tests through 218 never got beyond simple "anding"
Good Luck
