| Hello, All!
I'm studying on the book "Windows 2000 Server MCSE training" from Microsoft
for 70-215.
I'm training on Transcender but I discover that many questions are not in
the subject of this book.
For example the names of the counters in System Monitor.
In the book there aren't!
Why Microsoft sell this book telling that is for preparing the exam, if it
is not complete?
Thanx to all for answers

| Hi !
The title is "Windows 2000 Server MCSE training kit", not "All I have to
know to obtain 100% at the exam". You have to practice any subject covered
in this book. If this book covers performance couters, you should be able to
work with ALL performance counters available in Windows 2000 (and I said
should) !!!

| The book is not meant, I'm guessing here, to be a complete documentation of
everything available in the server. You can find a lot of the more detailed
information in "Online Help" on the server. You can also find the
information by opening "System monitor" and reviewing the options available.
One of the many tasks you may face in acting as a system
Administrator/Engineer/Manager is gathering information, then understanding
and using what you find to assist you in providing the services within your
charter. Look at this as an opportunity. Many of us, on the way to MCSA/MCSE
and other certifications, have had to seek information from several sources,
some online, on the web, in books/manuals or in the excellent help files
provided in W2K/.NET and XP. You will find that the longer you are in this
field, especially as your responsibilities grow, you will amass a personal
library of reference books, some are good for detail others for theory and a
few are just a waste of paper. Expand your knowledge by finding ways to
obtain the information you need to achieve your goal.
