| Funny how if I make a more detailed subject I get no or less responses. But
now that I've said this....heh....I won't get any here either. =P
anyways. I've got one test left...just took 219 today and passed in 2 1/2
hours. I was expecting it to go to the next scenario but it was done! woot.
My last test, I was thinking about taking Exchange 2k Admin...I deal with
this stuff, almost, on a daily basis so i figured it would help me more
with my consulting job if I studied for this one. What should I be pounding
on when it comes to Exchange 2k admin? Clusters? Restoring?...just not sure
what's the biggest part of the test.
THanks

| Gidday,
I passed 224 on Monday.
The things I studied for the exam were:
Installing E2K - forest prep, domain prep , permissioms, troubleshooting etc
Migration options - inplace upgrade, move mailboxes, swing server method
Maintain/Create Co-existence with 5.5 e.g ADC
Configuring stuff like mailboxes, Public Folder stores, users, IM users
Managing Administrative Groups
Place of databases and txn logs on RAID arrays
How to configure the KMS server - x.509v3 and x.509v1 certs
FES servers and firewalls -what ports do you need open
Different types of connectors - RGC,SMTP,MS Mail,x.400
Full text indexing
Backups and restores
Basically study all the stuff listed in the preparation guide for 70-224 on
the MS site and you will be fine.
Hope this helps
Nigel

| No clustering questions have come up as far as I've heard. Though, the MS
Press book has an entire chapter dedicated to it.
Half of my questions felt like they were about backup/restoration using
NTBACKUP.EXE. I was dreading the exam but it turned out to be pretty easy.

hrmm...much to cover i guess. Did you ever take a look at the LearnKey
videos on this? I have them and will be going over them once, maybe even
twice, to prepare for this. All the other LK's were mostly 5 cd's...this
one is only 3 and it just seems there can more to cover than 216 in itself.

Really! NTBACKUP? I hope it get that as well. Sounds like that would be
pretty simple if there are quite of few of these.
